Dr. Shoffner is originally from Hickory, NC and just relocated to Orlando, FL. At the age of 14 he received his calling to preach. In 2002 he completed a Bachelor of Science in Applied Communication and began his journey at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Wake Forest, NC with a Master of Divinity in 2006 and a Doctor of Ministry in 2012. He began as a pulpit minister at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and by 2005 began a pastoral internship until his first Senior Pastor position in 2006. Since then Dr. Shoffner has served as the Senior Pastor for 3 churches prior to coming to Downtown Baptist Orlando Church.

Along with a rich history in Missions, Outreach, Evangelism, and Children/Family Ministry, God has given him a vision and passion for helping people meet Jesus, and each week he shares God’s word and its practical application in our daily lives. Dr Shoffner said. “God has given me the passion to preach His Word and my goal in life is to accomplish that task.” He is also committed to reaching the lost and has a deep-rooted passion to see a community evangelized and changed for the glory of God through His love for them by His Son Jesus. He and his son Ayden live in Orlando, FL.
